Restaurant Le Delphin

Excellent value for money with the 3-course set menu at €17.50. For this price, the ingredients are surprisingly high quality and the food is homemade. A big thank you for offering such affordable prices (even in the evening) during peak tourist season, and for not being a tourist trap. It's a simple place where we were able to appreciate the tranquility of the port. If you're staying in Les Minimes, this is a place worth knowing about. If the opportunity arises, we'll definitely return.

I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. Seven months pregnant, wearing an outfit that clearly showed my belly, I took the liberty of respectfully asking what appeared to be a manager if I could use the restroom at the end of her shift. In front of the customers she was ringing up, I received only a long sigh, followed by a cold, curt, "It's €2 to use the restroom, madam." Beyond the fact that they charged for access to the restrooms, it was the complete lack of empathy and the way I was treated that deeply shocked me. I could have understood a polite refusal, but certainly not such a contemptuous reaction. I thought a woman of a certain age would show a modicum of kindness and understanding in such a situation. Unfortunately, I was sorely mistaken.

We stopped in the parking lot to go for a drive to the sea. Reservation for 2 adults and a child. We had a good meal: mussels and fries, and a children's meal with an aperitif: €70. Relaxing on the cool terrace. Pleasant.

A very good restaurant on the Port des Minimes. The food, service, and welcome were top-notch. The skate wing, the hanger steak, the vacherin cheese—we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A must-visit if you're in the area.

Excellent value for money. We're regulars and always happy to come to Le Delphin whenever we're in La Rochelle. Very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The location was just around the port with great outdoor sitting and indoor sitting area. There is a variety of choice of food. The service is really friendly. The well done steak was a little bit overcooked. Other than that the salad is great. The desert of the day was a pancake with cherry inside, which is fresh to me. This is a good place for having meals and chilling around.

The food was entirely frozen, the portions were ridiculously small, like something for a child, and the two servers crossed the line into making inappropriate remarks with complete impunity. The place was very noisy, but the service was quick.

No salt or pepper on the table. Fish soup was very good. Sea bass on the daily special was undercooked and cold. Chocolate crepes (looked like a supermarket crepe with three lines of chocolate). Disappointed.

The meat and fish were undercooked, with no suggested side dishes for the vegetables and no mention of them on the menu. I'm not sure the products were fresh! The establishment wasn't clean. Expensive for what we ate. Disappointed.

A very bad experience. From the start, I received inappropriate comments on my phone twice (because I was on my phone while waiting for my food). The service was extremely slow: over 15 minutes of waiting just to get ketchup, despite asking two different servers and repeating the request several times. You clearly get the impression you're bothering them as soon as you ask for anything, and on top of that, you get unpleasant reactions (sighs, etc.). The fries were frozen, which is disappointing, and the cheese on the burger was barely melted. Organization-wise, nothing works: the server came back three times to ask for desserts because he'd forgotten them, and the birthday candle was placed on the wrong dessert. Finally, the facilities leave much to be desired: windows that are stuck and won't open, a toilet door that won't close, and you can't even hear yourself speak because of the noise. Overall, the service and quality were far below expectations.

A meal between two business meetings; the service respected my request for a meal with excellent efficiency, and the portion was very generous. Thank you to the team.

This isn't my first time here, and I've never been disappointed! A friendly, family atmosphere, impeccable service, simple yet excellent cuisine. Varied and well-balanced daily specials. Amazing value for money!

I come for lunch and/or dinner several times a year with my parents when we visit La Rochelle, and it's always a pleasure to eat at Le Delphin. The staff is very welcoming and the traditional dishes are delicious; I highly recommend it!
